About
Discord PTB is the macOS desktop app for Discord’s PTB variant, described as voice and text chat software. Discord presents its service as a place to talk, play, and spend time with friends or communities.
- Join voice and text chats, with the option to move in and out of conversations without placing a call.
- Use voice, video, and text chat in group conversations.
- Stream content for others to watch, with high-quality, low-latency streaming described by Discord.
- Personalize chats with custom emoji, stickers, soundboard effects, an avatar, and a status.
- See friends who are around; for supported games, Discord describes options to view what they are playing and join them.
To install this macOS app with Homebrew, run brew install --cask discord@ptb. The package requires macOS 12 or later and installs Discord PTB.app in /Applications.
