About

Clawd on Desk is an open-source pixel desktop pet that reacts to AI coding-agent activity. It animates while an agent thinks, runs tools, works with subagents or completes a task, helping you notice progress without continually watching the terminal. Supported integrations include Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and other agents documented by the project.

The app tracks multiple sessions, offers a sessions dashboard and compact HUD, and supports built-in and custom themes. Supported permission integrations can show floating approval cards; state-only integrations leave every permission decision in the original agent. Integrations are configured in Settings → Agents, and their capabilities differ. Optional remote notifications and Remote SSH workflows are described in the official setup guides.

For macOS, choose the Apple Silicon or Intel DMG matching your hardware, or install with brew install --cask clawd-on-desk. The Homebrew artifact requires macOS 12 or later. Version 1.0.0 was the signed-update bridge: older packaged macOS versions need one manual installation before later signed in-app updates work.

Version 1.2.0 adds experimental state-only MiniMax Code integration, OpenCode 2.x permission support, session-recovery fixes and theme refinements. After upgrading, launch the app once so enabled integrations reconcile their hooks. For OpenCode 2.x, follow the release instructions to restart its shared service.
