Biscotti is a Productivity app for Mac. It is free to use. It needs macOS 15 or later.

About

Biscotti records microphone and system audio on a Mac and produces speaker-labeled transcripts, summaries and action items with local AI. It does not join calls as a bot. Calendar integration can suggest recordings, and MCP lets compatible clients search meetings and read notes. Audio and transcripts remain local; offline processing requires downloading models first. Requires Apple Silicon and macOS 15 or later; 16 GB RAM is recommended. Grant microphone, system-audio and optional calendar permissions during setup. Free with no account or subscription. The source is available under PolyForm Perimeter License 1.0.1, not a conventional permissive open-source license.

Release changes and platform scope are detailed below.

Install and uninstall

Homebrew installs the app in your Applications folder.

Install without Homebrew

Download the same file Homebrew uses: github.com/scosman/Biscotti/releases/download/v1.0.0/Biscotti.dmg

SHA-256 only checks that the download is complete; it is not a security certification. See the SHA-256 and download address

Uninstall command
$ brew uninstall --cask biscotti

A regular uninstall removes the app and keeps its settings and caches.

Deep clean (optional)
$ brew uninstall --zap --cask \biscotti

--zap also deletes the settings, caches and other files listed in the Homebrew definition. They can include data shared with other apps and cannot be restored, and it does not guarantee that nothing is left.See which files are removed
