About

Google Antigravity 2.0 is Google's desktop workspace for coordinating AI agents across projects, files and tools. It suits developers and other technical users who want agents to research a codebase, propose changes, execute permitted tasks and produce reviewable artifacts. This Homebrew cask currently installs the Antigravity 2.0 hub, not the separately versioned Antigravity IDE, CLI or SDK.

Main features

  • Organize conversations into projects spanning one or more folders or repositories.
  • Launch, monitor and interact with agents and dynamically created subagents.
  • Inspect agent activity, file changes and deliverables such as plans and walkthroughs.
  • Configure skills, MCP integrations, hooks and project-specific settings.
  • Run scheduled or on-demand automations.
  • Use supported model choices, permissions and artifact-review workflows.

Install and start

Install the Mac cask with brew install --cask antigravity, or download the official Mac DMG matching Apple Silicon or Intel, move the app into Applications and launch it. Sign in through the supported authentication flow with your eligible Google account or organization-provided business identity. Create a project and add the folders the agent should work with, configure permissions, then describe a task. Local mode works in your active folders; the documented worktree mode isolates work in a Git worktree.

Review requested permissions, generated changes and tool actions before relying on the result. Terminal commands, file edits and connected tools can change local or external data, depending on your configuration. AI outputs still need verification. Folder access may require macOS Privacy & Security Files and Folders permission. Browser-related capabilities require their own supported browser integration; installing the hub alone does not grant browser or filesystem access.

Requirements, dependencies and platforms

The current Homebrew cask requires macOS 13+, while Google's download page lists macOS 12 Monterey+ on Apple Silicon or Intel. Use macOS 13+ for this cask. Google's getting-started guide additionally specifies macOS versions receiving Apple security updates, typically the current and previous two; an installer minimum does not promise support for every older macOS release. The page's phrase “x86 is not supported” appears alongside an Intel download; interpret the explicit Intel build as x86-64, not 32-bit x86 support, rather than claiming Intel is absent.

Official hub downloads also list Windows 10 64-bit+ with x64/ARM64 and Linux x64/ARM64 requiring glibc 2.28+ and glibcxx 3.4.25+. Googlebook distribution is separately listed. The Mac cask does not install the standalone IDE, CLI, SDK or an editor extension; their requirements and versions differ. A working internet connection and eligible authentication are required for hosted agent/model services. Local development tasks still need their project's compilers, runtimes and dependencies. The cask declares no additional formula dependency or explicit cask conflict, which does not establish that every development task needs no dependencies.

The current 2.21.1 Apple Silicon DMG is 206,573,240 bytes, verified by official download HEAD and matching the production package. Download size is not installed footprint. No universal RAM or installed-space minimum was confirmed.

Accounts, plans and license

Antigravity is a Google proprietary product/service, not a verified open-source application. Its current pricing page labels the individual offering Generally Available and lists a free individual plan plus Google AI Pro/Ultra and business offerings. Do not assume the original launch's preview terms remain current. Model access, quotas, credits and organizational availability depend on plan and eligibility; paid plans and API consumption can incur charges. Review current Google terms, data policies and organization controls before providing private code or connecting services.

The image is an official product-page illustration of parallel subagent research. Its platform and exact capture version are unspecified; it is not a verified current macOS 2.21.1 screenshot.
