Android Studio Preview (Beta)

Android Studio Preview (Beta) is a preview release of Android Studio, Google’s development environment for building Android applications. It provides early access to Android Studio features and improvements before they appear in a stable release. Google states that preview versions can be installed side by side with the stable version, so the beta can be used separately from a stable installation.

• Distributed as a macOS application; the Homebrew cask defines downloads for both Apple silicon and Intel Macs.
• Installed with the separate app name Android Studio Preview Beta.app and the command-line launcher studio-beta.

Install with Homebrew Cask:

brew install --cask android-studio-preview@beta

After installation, open the preview app from Applications, or launch it with studio-beta. This is a beta preview rather than the stable Android Studio release. The Android SDK license must be accepted to use the SDK. See the Android Studio Preview page for preview information and release downloads.
