AirStats
byrencheema · Lightweight Apple-silicon Mac system monitor with menu bar metrics, a detailed panel, desktop widgets and 24-hour history charts.
About
AirStats is a free, MIT-licensed macOS system monitor maintained in the byrencheema/airstats repository. It reads CPU, memory, GPU, network, disk, battery, temperature, process and host statistics and presents them in the menu bar, a drop-down panel and a desktop widget.
Monitoring workflows
Choose the menu bar metrics you want to see, then open the panel for per-core load, memory pressure and top processes. Desktop widgets keep selected modules visible, with configurable colours. The official website documents threshold notifications and keyboard shortcuts. Version 1.5 adds 24-hour history charts, top memory users and accessory batteries; see the exact release notes for its full changes.
Requirements and privacy
AirStats requires Apple silicon and macOS 14 or later; the current build is not for Intel Macs. The publisher describes a single-process application with no helper or launch agent. Public-IP lookup is optional and off by default; other displayed statistics are read from the local machine. Performance comparisons on the website are publisher measurements, not independently verified benchmarks.
Installation and updates
Install with brew install --cask airstats, or download the official DMG and drag AirStats.app into Applications. The project documents signed, notarized downloads and optional Sparkle update checks. Building from source requires the Swift 6 toolchain supplied with Xcode 16.
